There have been questions regarding the equipment and activity at Blodgett Peak Open Space and people wondering what’s happening. The City Forestry Department is conducting fire mitigation activities at several areas to the north and south of the parking lot during February. This effort involves removing areas of scrub oak that are over grown, and removal of unhealthy pine trees or thinning of pine trees to allow for a healthy forest.
We’re fortunate to have the expertise of the Forestry Department and the Fire Department fire mitigation staff to continue their efforts to keep Peregrine safe and beautiful.
